How You Can Make A Difference:

We value your support, and thank you for your contribution.

Please consider making a donation to one of the following funds:

1. ARB’s Artistic Fund: to support the commissioning of new work, live music, dancers’ salaries, pointe shoes, costumes and other artistic expenses.

  • ARB’s female dancers use about 1 pair of pointe shoes per week, and, at almost $100 per pair, ARB spends about $15,000 annually on pointe shoes. Your donation of $100 and more to our “Pointe Shoe Fund” will cover the cost of one pair of Pointe Shoes for one of our professional dancers, which will last her about one week.
  • ARB is committed to presenting ballets from the 19th and 20th century alongside new and existing works by choreographers from today.  Your donation of $2,500 and more will support the creation of a new ballet for the company.
  • ARB believes in the value of live music and our company performs at least once each season to live music.  Your donation of $5,000 and more helps support our live music initiatives.

2. “Keep the Magic Alive” Nutcracker Fund: to support the preservation, design, and creation of
costumes, sets, and other production expenses for ARB’s annual Nutcracker.

  • In 2013, ARB will celebrate its 50th annual Nutcracker season. Your donation of any amount, in honor of our 50th Nutcracker will help support the “Keep the Magic Alive” Nutcracker Fund.

3. Scholarship Fund: to support Princeton Ballet School’s merit and need scholarships for students of
all ages and abilities, including those chosen from ARB’s DANCE POWER program.

  • Princeton Ballet School awards need based scholarships to students who would not otherwise have the opportunity to participate in dance classes. Your donation of $50 or more will help continue the legacy started by Audrée and Bud Estey of providing a top quality dance education to all those who desire, regardless of their ability to pay.

4. ARB’s Access and Enrichment Programs: to support the ongoing programs such as DANCE
POWER and On Pointe, which provide free and accessible dance educational programs to
communities across New Jersey.

  • ARB’s DANCE POWER Scholars program provides over $65,000 in scholarships to students from the New Brunswick public school system to study at Princeton Ballet School each year. Your donation of $500 or more will enable a DANCE POWER Scholar to take six months of ballet classes that they otherwise could not afford.
  • ARB’s On Pointe lecture/demonstration series continues to expand, exposing more audience members to the world of dance, for free, in the personal and casual environment of our Princeton Ballet School studios. Your donation of just $25 or more helps us continue to offer these programs free of charge to the public.

5. ARB’s School Fund, to support faculty, teachers, accompanist salaries, as well as basic expenses such as rent for the studios, heat and air conditioning, and much more.

Princeton Ballet School offers over 160 classes per week across its three studios, in Princeton, Cranbury and New Brunswick, and remains unique in its ability and insistence on providing live piano accompaniment in every ballet class.

  • Your donation of $250 or more will pay for a live piano accompanist for several ballet classes.
  • Your donation of $1500 or more will help underwrite one faculty member's salary for one class each year.

Or, make a donation to support the general operating expenses of American Repertory Ballet and Princeton Ballet School.  We can't do this without your help.
